    🔥Hurummarka – Knus Krigsmaskinen

    the forest occupation defending Hurummarka against Chemring Nobel’s explosives factory, about 1.5h southwest from Oslo.

    The big beautiful forest shall be destroyed for a new explosives-factory for Chemring Nobel. Chemring’s largest single costumer is the US Departement of Defence (Lockheed Martin and through this the israel military). Other customers include Diehl Defence, SpaceX and Boeing. If built, the factory’s highly specific products will be a crucial corner stone for ongoing future imperialist wars and settler colonial projects.

    The forest creatures see no other option but to organize and become sand in this transnational military industrial machinery!

    Luckily there is already a strong (and angry!) civil resistance and some locals have shared their desire for more direct actions.

    We dont like cars and we hate nationalism, but we see some common ground with the participants of the Hurumsprinten in the fight against Chemring and the military industry that destroy Hurummarka. Thats why we are here today with info material, coffee and pancakes (waffle iron broke again…), ready to chat about what we can do to support each other.

  • Hurumsprinten with waffles

    This weekend theres gonna be a big event happening in Hurummarka. A lot of people will come to watch the annual car race and camp in front of our house.

    We wish to connect with others that care in one way or another about this forest and to see how we can fight the factory together. Therefore we thought it would be nice to hand out waffels, tea, coffee and self made prints. In the evenings we will create a cinema space and watch ‘Earths Greatest Enemy’ and ‘Flåklyppa’.

    If you wanna help us you can come by, donate to us and/or help us with giving out waffles and making this house even more cozy.

    Today the municipality will come by at ⏰ 4:30pm to talk about the “continued use” of the house.

    ❗️We all are invited.
    This talk creates a space were every voice must be heard.

    As the house connects us in the fight against the weapon factory in Hurummarka, this matters for all of us!

    Visit of Latin-Amerikagruppene

    “From when we wake up until we go to bed, there is something to fight for.” – Darinson fra CNA.

    Today we had visitors from Colombia, Guatemala, and Brasil through Latin-Amerikagruppene (LAG). We talked about how our struggles are connected, how we can learn from each other, and in what ways our struggles are also different. While it can be hard in Norway it to mobilize people to go outside their daily routines, our guests live in places where they don’t have a choice but to fight for their existence. And many of their struggles are produced by the norwegian state (e.g. Statkraft, equinor, hydro) and encountered with weapons that are part of the norwegian military industry.

    Check out the work of Via Campesina, MST, CNA, Conavigua and LAG to learn more. Stop norwegian colonialism in Latin America (also the “green” version)! No more explosives for imperial wars and land grabbing!

    It is so calming to wake up to the sounds of the birds in this beautiful forest and of the stream next to our house, even if it is heavily polluted.

    We haven’t heard anything from the municipality yet.

    We are dedicated to stay and we hope for many more visitors in the next days. We invite you to join our climbing skillshare and waffles on saturday. For next week we are looking forward to prepare a little program for visitors of the “Hurumsprinten” car ralley that will pass by in front of our house on the 18th of April. More infos about both events will follow soon!
